Mark Gindi, MD

Dr. Gindi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, board certified in general psychiatry. After studying Creative Writing at UCLA, he completed his Master’s of Fine Arts in Fiction Writing at Columbia University. Dr. Gindi received his MD from Northwestern University in Chicago, staying on for his psychiatry residency. After graduation, he served as the Medical Director of the Chicago Cathedral Counseling Center and in private practice at the Northwestern Faculty Practice.

Dr. Gindi spent a number of years as an attending on the Los Angeles Kasier Permanente Psychiatry Inpatient Unit and will now be in private practice, splitting his time between Southern California and Rhode Island. He teaches writing across the country, has been published extensively in media outlets and been a consultant to Paramount and Netflix as a script supervisor.

Dr. Gindi sees patients ages sixteen and up with particular interest in treatment resistant depression, anxiety and ADHD.
