Sarah Quaratella, MD

Women’s mental health, sports psychiatry

Dr. Sarah Quaratella is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; board certified in Adult Psychiatry. She holds a BS from Yale University and received her MD from Brown University. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Colorado, serving as chief resident. Dr. Quaratella treats adults experiencing a wide range of psychiatric disorders including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders.

Dr. Quaratella specializes in women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry. She treats conditions that include managing psychiatric disorders during and after pregnancy, issues of infertility and pregnancy loss, PMDD, PCOS, and mental health concerns associated with all stages of menopause. She is experienced in providing gender affirming care to trans patients, supporting their hormonal and mental health at all stages of treatment. She also has significant experience caring for women during breast cancer treatment. She is nationally published in the Journal of Endocrinology and coauthored the textbook chapter on Women’s Mental Health in Core Concepts for Community Psychiatry. In addition to her work at this practice, she is the Director of Fertility Wellness Services at Intent Clinical.

As a former Division I athlete, Dr. Quaratella has a special interest in treating competitive and professional athletes. She understands the nuance required to address mental health goals while optimizing athletic performance.

Dr. Quaratella combines empathy and expertise to tailor treatments to each patient's unique personal experience. She provides high-quality, targeted care throughout all phases of their mental health journey. Her holistic approach is based on evidence-based care and incorporates both psychotherapy and advanced psychopharmacology.
